Sponsorship of Collie Junior Eagles
Bluewaters Power is a proud sponsor of the Collie Junior Eagles Football Club.
“Being significantly involved helps the Collie Eagles Junior Football Club committee to coordinate and register in excess of 400 children from ages 5-17.General manager operations Paul Kirchler said he was very happy for Bluewaters to get involved in junior sport in Collie.
Matt Hislop from the Collie Eagles Junior Football Club said sponsorship helped keep players fees to a minimum by their contribution which helped with the many overhead costs involved.
The Collie Eagles ages 12-17 play in the South West competition and travel as far a Margaret River in the south and Harvey in the north.”

Sumitomo/Bluewaters Volunteer Day at Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Center
On the 17 of October 2014 staff from the Perth Corporate Offices of Sumitomo and Bluewaters Power attended a volunteer day at Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre.
Numerous trees were planted on the day with over 50m2 of weeds removed from around the enclosure and the entrance to the main centre. It was a successful day with fun had by all attendees, whilst making a positive and practical difference to both the environment and the wildlife at the park.
The Bluewaters Power Station is located in the South West region of Western Australia which is an area where the vegetation supports two threatened species of Black Cockatoo. Although the construction and operation of the plant has no significant impact on the birds it was an opportunity for staff to assist in maintaining the habitat of the cockatoo by adding to the productivity of native flora.
