Our Vision

Bluewaters Power’s commitment is to support our community’s transition to a new energy future through secure, low-cost generation as we continue to invest in developing our people and reliable technology.

The Future of Bluewaters Power

Bluewaters Power is the newest and most efficient coal-fired power station in WA. Government has announced staged plans to retire Synergy’s coal fired power stations by 2030.  Based on our ongoing focus on continuously improving plant performance and the growing need for low-cost firming electricity supply, it is anticipated that Bluewaters Power will support the WA energy sector well into the future.

Just Transition

Bluewaters Power is an active member of the working group designated to the Collie Just Transition project. The project is tasked with supporting the Collie community to diversify their economy, achieve a positive transition and provide a future for generations to come.

The Western Australian Government has committed more than $662 million to supporting workers, industries and communities in the shift to a new energy future.

Our People

We invest in our people at all stages of employment and are passionate about seeing our people achieve their goals. We offer training and development opportunities to ensure our team never stop learning. Our people are ambitious and resilient.

Our SPARK Program was developed by People & Culture in consultation with our teams. The Program is designed to initiate regular, productive discussions between employees and their managers to provide constructive feedback on performance and conduct, and understand their career aspirations and how we can assist them in achieving them through training and development opportunities.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Bluewaters, we are committed to investing in our people and environment to create a safe and inclusive workplace. We encourage, support and celebrate the diverse voices of our employees to connect us to the community that we serve.

We are passionate about supporting our First Nations people, who represent the world’s oldest continuing culture and are committed to supporting their journey of reconciliation.
